The Kingsbridge Business Improvement District held its fifth Annual Meeting on May 24 at Peppino’s Restaurant to elect a new Board of Directors and present the current Annual Report to the membership. Jane de Rham, a consultant for Ceruzzi Holdings, was the luncheon speaker. Ceruzzi Holdings will be developing a shopping center at W 230th St and Broadway.
Officers elected were President David Isaac of North Fork Bank, Vice-Presidents Dr. Donald Spector of Cambridge Podiatry and Gary L. Moore of Robert E. Hill Real Estate, Secretary Robert M. Johnson of M. J. Martin & Son Inc. and Treasurer Maria Khury-Anton of Khury Tours & Travel. Directors elected were Peter Blier of Martin & Kenneth Realty, Eric Chen of Pan East Realty, Margaret Donato as Resident Representative, Stephano Katiskoumbas of Bizani Realty, Stuart Kerner of Esposito & Kerner, Theodora Kreatsoulas of PK Management, Marion Tynan of Landscape Properties and Andrew Williams of Williams Funeral Home. Permanent Board members include representatives for Mayor Bloomberg, Comptroller
Thompson, Bronx President Carrion and Councilman Koppell.
The Kingsbridge BID was formed in 2001 to improve the commercial district along Broadway from W 230 to W 236 and along W 231 from the Major Deegan Expressway to Corlear Ave. Their primary activities are sanitation, holiday lighting and promotions. Copies of the Annual Report are available for inspection during business hours at the BID offices, 5760 Broadway.
