Directors Elected to Lead the Kingsbridge Improvement District

Members of the Kingsbridge Business Improvement District recently held its third Annual Meeting and elected its Board of Directors for the next fiscal year. The BID contract with New York City requires directors to be selected from at least four classes of membership.

Class A Property Owners are Peter Blier of Martin & Kenneth Realty, Carlo Gitto of Walgreen's, David Isaac of North Fork Bank, Robert M. Johnson of M.J. Martin & Son Inc., Dimitrios Katiskoumbas of Louis Dale Restaurant, Gary L. Moore of Robert E. Hill Real Estate, Marion Tynan of Landscape Properties, Andrew Williams of Williams Funeral Home, and Rexh Xhakli of Two Kings Inc.

Class B Commercial Tenants are Stuart Kerner of Esposito & Kerner, Attorneys at Law, Maria Khury-Anton of Khury Tours & Travel and Dr. Donald Spector of Cambridge Podiatry Center

Class C Resident Representative is Margaret Donato of Kingsbridge.

Directors elected as officers for 2004-2005 are President Dr. Donald Spector; Vice-Presidents Robert M. Johnson and Gary L. Moore, Secretary David A. Isaac and Treasurer Maria Khury-Anton.

Class D Directors are appointed representatives for the New York City Mayor, Bronx Borough President, New York City Comptroller and New York City Council.

The Kingsbridge Business Improvement District encompasses the commercial area along Broadway from W 230th to W 236th Sts. and along W 231st St. from the Major Deegan to Corlear Ave. A special tax assessment provides cleaning, marketing and promotional services to this area. The Board meets bi-monthly to oversee BID activities and plan various improvements to the Kingsbridge business district.
